❱❱❱ Report ORCID to ASEP/RIV
❱❱❱ Have I already registered my ORCID?
What is ORCID?
ORCID (Open Research and Contributor ID) is a unique and unchanging international identifier for researchers and other academics. With the help of an ORCID number, it is possible to unambiguously identify individual authors of scientific publications, and it is therefore highly appropriate for each researcher/academics to register the ORCID identifier. ORCID identifiers will also be mandatory in the near future for the purpose of reporting publications to the ASEP and RIV central systems1.
The account in the ORCID system is free. More information about the identifier and the system can be found on the ORCID website.
When creating and managing your ORCID account, please be aware:
- One ORCID account can be used for multiple affiliations. It is not necessary to create an ORCID for each institution separately even if you no longer know the login information (for help with account recovery, see this ORCID website.
If you have already created multiple records, that are duplicates, you as the owner can decide to remove unwanted duplicates. More information can be found on the ORCID website - You can associate an ORCID account with another identifier called a ResearcherID, if you already have one. Instructions on how to link these identifiers can be found on the Publons website.
- To log in, you can use: your ORCID login details institutional login, or log in through social networks. We recommend you that log in at least two ways so that you can continue to have access to your ORCID account, if you terminate your employment at ICOB etc. You can find more information on Different ways to sign into ORCID.
Further instructions on how to use your account can be found on the ORCID website.
