The IOCB Prague website (www.uochb.cz/en) contains employee profiles, which employees can manage on their own (you can find your profile in the directory: www.uochb.cz/en/directory).

Important information on the protection of personal data:

  • With regard to the rules governing the protection of personal data, no photographs of employees may be displayed without their explicit consent; therefore, employee portraits in all profiles are automatically hidden. Displaying photographs will now be possible only with your consent in profile administration; if you do not provide this consent, your photograph will not be displayed.
  • If your position does not require your work contacts to be visible and searchable on the internet, you may hide your profile entirely. Doing so, however, means that you will not be searchable in the directory, and if you belong to a research group, you will not be listed among its members.

Logging in to your profile:

  • Administration login: www.uochb.cz/cms
  • Login credentials: username – your personal number; password – the same as for other systems (albina) – if you are not able to log in, please contact helpdesk@uochb.cas.cz.
  • Only you can provide consent for publication of your photograph. We can assist you in managing all other aspects of your profile; however, given the number of employees at the institute, we ask you to try completing the information in your profile on your own. Should you need assistance, you can contact the communications department (dusan.brinzanik@uochb.cas.cz).

Detailed information on what you can display in your new personal profile:

  • The attached PDFs contain examples showing what a profile looks like without any additional information as well as how you can expand it, both with and without a photograph.
  • An incomplete profile will show: your name, work email and telephone number, and research group or department; in the case of researchers who are authors of publications in the internal publications database (www.uochb.cz/en/publications), a list of their four newest publications will also be automatically displayed and can optionally be hidden.
  • In your profile, you may display or hide the following:
    • a photograph from the employee database;
    • an automatic list of your four newest publications.
  • You may also manually add (in Czech and English):
    • academic titles before and after your name;
    • a second telephone number (e.g. mobile);
    • position in groups or departments that you belong to – for research groups, you will choose from a list of categories; in other instances, the information is entered manually; if you belong to multiple groups or departments, you can manually reorder the list by level of importance;
    • your CV or other information about your professional specialization and career; your CV will now appear directly in the body of your profile, not on a separate page; there are no restrictions on the layout and length of the CV: you can add separate blocks in three predefined formats (one text block and two types of tables) with their own headings;
    • links to your social media or scientific profiles;
    • a list of selected publications (you can display one main article with graphical abstract and approximately three additional selections to appear vertically next to the main article with graphical abstract; you can adjust their number to fit the height of the field).
  • Of the information you may already have in your existing personal profile, your academic titles, positions, and CV will be transferred to the new one. The transfer of information has been tested, but minor problems may occur, so please check your profile soon.
  • Like the entire IOCB Prague website, the personal profiles are bilingual, appearing in both the Czech and English versions of the website and edited separately for each language. If you add text to one of the language versions (i.e. a title or biographical information), do not forget to add it to the other language version too. Should you need assistance with the second language, please ask your colleagues, or contact the communications department (dusan.brinzanik@uochb.cas.cz).
