Selection Committee for IOCB Fellowships

This Commission is responsible for the following types of internal support:

• IOCB Postdoctoral Fellowship
• IOCB Doctoral Fellowship
• IOCB Sabbatical Visit Program

The committee is responsible for selecting submitted fellowship applications for support at a meeting twice a year, coinciding with the regular application deadlines. In certain cases where there is a compelling reason, the Commission may also consider applications on an individual basis. The selection of applications for support is based on the scientific quality of the applicant and the planned project, as well as compliance with the requirements of the program. The Commission also reviews reports of awarded projects and considers requests for extensions of support for IOCB Postdoctoral Fellowships.

The committee also monitors relevant developments in the current needs of IOCB and the scientific leaders and, where justified, adapts the rules to these needs.
