The Project Office supports the preparation of proposals/applications for three types of activities:

1. GRANTS = team projects
   • the proposed project requires a research team, collaboration with one of more teams from one or more institutions possible
   • usually supports research activities (money for research, investments)
   • time of realisation usually 1 or more years
   
   
2. FELLOWSHIPS = individual projects
   • submitted and realised only by the applicant
   • usually supports only mobility of the researcher – researcher going abroad or researcher from abroad coming to Czechia
   • short term (weeks to months) or long term (year/s) stays
   
   
3. AWARDS/PRIZES = nominations of a person/team
   • nomination of a person (exceptionally a team)
   • awarded based on already achieved results, not on the project proposal
   • some nominations require approval by the IOCB Board
