TAČR Program Kappa
What is the TAČR Kappa?
The Programme is aimed at promoting international cooperation between Czech entities, and partners from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein in applied research. It supports the connection of research organisations with the consumers of the outputs of applied research, i.e. with the industrial sphere (mainly with enterprises and other entities at the national and international level) operating in various social fields. The implementation mainly assumes industrial research/experimental development projects (involving the necessary activities in oriented basic research).
Who can apply for the TAČR Kappa?
Research organizations and enterprises established in Czechia as a main applicant together with at least one project partner (research organization or enterprise) from Donor country.
Why to apply for the TAČR Kappa?
Approved projects get financial support for implementation of the applied research in cooperation with a partner from EEA country. Project implementation shall promote your research results in partner country.
When to apply for the TAČR Kappa?
The nearest Call is open from 25 Nov 2019 by 27 Feb 2020.

How to apply for the TAČR Kappa
- Mind the language: Documentation is available in English and the proposal must be delivered in English except for the parts .

- Find a partner in a Donor country (Norway, Island, Liechtenstein). Get inspired by tips for finding a partner created by Norway Research Council or use the database Enterprise Europe Network collection technological and research supplies and demands. It is also possible to use the database of partners EEA and Norway grant MF CR, which contains contacts of subjects interested in participation in these grant programs.
- Register to ISTA system and jointly prepare project proposal.
- For IOCB official agreement is necessary to complete the project request form

- Contact the Project Office.
- Complete all parts of your project proposal in English (if not specified otherwise):
- Electronic form in ISTA (find detailed description under the help icons of each field).
- Sworn statement (PDF, obligatory for each applicant, Czech applicant/partner must deliver it via own databox, partners from Donor state as an attachment with electronic signature).
- Document mapping the market research (if not relevant, the following is to be submitted - current stage and available solutions, estimation of potential use (use of the project results), research of the future use of the project results and their benefits, proof of interest of future user(s) (e.g. a Letter of Intent), preliminary calculation of expected costs and revenues, SWOT analysis.
- Any other attachments that supports project proposal (drawings, schemes, pictures) are allowed. Letter of intent, contract on result exploitation or future contract.
- Submit your project via ISTA system before 27 Feb 2020 16:30.
- Submit sworn statement for each Czech applicant via their own databox before 27 Feb 2019 23:59 CET. Sworn statements of partners from Donor states must be attached electronically signed and to ISTA before submission.
- After submission of the project, the Project Office shall submit a confirmation of submission via data box (datová schránka) before 25 Feb 2020 23:59 CET.
Final evaluation results will be announced in Sep 2020. The project implementation will start earliest in Oct 2020.
