Sockets
At IOCB, there are 4 types of sockets which are colour-coded based on backup type during power cuts:
![]() |
white – non-backed up socket (the socket is without power supply during a power cut)
![]() |
red – socket backed up by a diesel unit (during a power cut, the socket is briefly without power – approx. a few seconds before the diesel unit starts)
![]() |
orange – an equivalent of a red socket (remains functional even after pressing the red safety button, which switches off the entire laboratory except for this orange socket; mainly used to power freezers)
![]() |
green – backed-up by UPS + diesel unit (in case of a power cut, the socket is powered by the UPS and subsequently by the diesel unit – there is no power failure) |
