Criteria
  • The proposed candidate must be employed at the CAS institute. Part-time job (min. 50%) is permitted in the case of childcare. The candidate must reach maximum of 35 years in the calendar year of the award.
  • Evaluation: current scientific activity, quality of achieved results.
  • The subsidy must be used for holder salary.
  • The subsidy is provided in the 3rd quarter of the calendar year, for the first time in the year of awarding.
  • An interim and final reports need to be prepared annually.

  • Applicants must be women scientists aged 40 or less on 31 Dec 2023 with a Ph.D. degree in the Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Formal or Life and environmental sciences – see guidelines for full list.
  • Relevant research to be implemented in the Czech Republic for the length of the following one year.
  • If animal experiments are carried out, these must be described in detail. Their necessity or the lack of alternatives must be justified.
  • The award of 200,000 CZK to be used to support research in the Czech Republic.
  • The winners agree to participate in media training, to participate in the official events organized in 2024/2025 around the topic “For Women in Science”.
  • The winners agree to keep the announcement of the results confidential until the official announcement.
  • The winners expressly authorize UNESCO and the L’Oréal Group including all subsidiaries to reproduce, represent and use their Image, in the Czech Republic and worldwide.
  • The winner must settle all tax obligations connected with the payment of the award.
