Who can be nominated for Česká hlava: Národní cena?

Outstanding researchers from the CAS Institutes with excellent scientific achievements (From the first publication or implementation of the result have passed no more than five years).

Why to nominate for Česká hlava: Národní cena?

  • It is recognition of candidate’s contribution to the science.
  • Increased credibility and visibility of outstanding researcher.
  • To receive a diploma and financial subsidy 1,000,000 CZK.

When to nominate for Česká hlava: Národní cena?

The nomination is annually: late June - mid July.
The nearest deadline is on: 11 July 2025

How to nominate for Česká hlava: Národní cena?

  Consult with the IOCB Board your interest to be nominated or suggest a suitable candidate for this award.  

  1. Find and read guidelines
  2. Contact two independent experts (at least one of whom does not work at the institution where the work was done) and ask them to provide you with Letters of recommendation.
  3. Nominations must include the following documents (to be filled in according to the instructions in the form attached to the call here).
    • Candidate´s name and surname; his/her date of birth; home address, phone, e-mail;
    • The name of the research organization where the research was carried out; the candidate´s position in the organization;
    • Candidate´s CV;
    • Description of the candidate´s achievements and his/her national and international recognition;
    • Confirmation of the employer (certifying the accuracy of the data stated in the application);
    • Two Letters of recommendation must be enclosed (signed and scanned).
  4. The nomination submission: Electronic version of the nomination must be submitted via ISDS (data box) to the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic (id: trfaa33).
