Travel Order for a Business Trip Abroad
When determining, if particular expenditure is eligible or not, it is necessary to comply with the following documents:
- The tender documents of the declared call!
- The Principal Investigator grant agreement
- The Co-Investigator grant agreement
- The "Support of research and development" law (130/2002 Sb.)
- The "Budget rules" law (218/2000 Sb.)
- The Methodology of evaluation
- The relevant European legislation (e.g. European Union Regulation, Official Journal of the European Union)

Who can attend business trips?
- Member of the research / project team.
- Beware, though many providers allow announcement of personnel changes within the team through the interim / final report, there is condition the grantee was a project member already at the time of the business trip. It means – he/she had a signed contract (addressed in the month preceding business trip at the latest) - hours devoted to the project. This adjustment is mandatory for projects with planned personnel costs.
Sources of the business trips funding
- In the case of financial coverage from various sources it is advised to combine only one grant money + team money (VEJ)
- Beware, funding from several grants is problematic in terms of double-funding and unauthorized utilization of state aid.
What could be the purpose of the business trip?
- Generally, any active participation of grantee at the conference is enabled (lecture or poster). Active participation has to be supported by abstract indicating the source of funding (grant number assigned by the provider).
- Business trip must be related to the project and contribute to achieving the stated objectives of the project.
- Beware, workshops are not allowed costs within the item travel costs.
