Logo 2024

In August 2024, the Institute's logo was updated. Following the establishment of the IOCB Boston branch, monolingual versions of the logo were developed to accentuate the English IOCB brand. In addition to the basic logo for the parent institute in Prague and the Boston branch, logos with the name of the institute spelled out are also available, and a derivative vertical logo has been developed separately for Prague and Boston for use on narrow tall formats.

The original bilingual logo from 2016 will no longer be used on the newly created materials and will be gradually replaced by the monolingual logo in all occurrences. The complete set of variations of the old logo will eventually be completely removed from Intraweb (it is temporarily available here). We kindly ask you to work exclusively with the new monolingual logo in your presentations, posters and other materials. Gradually, we will also add modified templates for all commonly used materials with the new logo variants to Intraweb.

In the table below you can download the official logo variants in the basic colours.

Full-colour logos are available for download in CMYK colour model for printed materials (e.g. posters) or RGB colour model for electronic presentations (e.g. web, PowerPoint). Both curve formats (vector formats - standard PDF for print, SVG for universal digital use, AI and EPS for professional graphics and print) and bitmaps (raster formats - JPG with white background, PNG with transparent background) are available. If you need to freely resize the logo in your material, use a vector format that allows for seamless scaling. In addition to the colour logo, you can also use a monochrome black or white logo.

• The basic logo with the short name "IOCB PRAGUE" (or "IOCB BOSTON") is the recommended and universal logo variant for most occasions in communication and promotion of the Institute's brand. However, it is always the case that the variant "IOCB BOSTON" may only be used for individual work purposes by employees who have an affiliation with the Boston office. Only employees with an affiliation to the Prague office may use the "IOCB PRAGUE" option, even if the communication concerns the entire parent institute, including the Boston office. You can also typically use the basic logo when preparing your presentations and posters.
• In justified cases it is possible to use a variant of the logo with the name "IOCB PRAGUE, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences" or "IOCB BOSTON, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences, Branch Boston USA". This variant is intended for official communication and formal documents. The use of the spelled-out logo is also recommended for the preparation of business cards.
• Vertical format of the logo with spelled out names "IOCB PRAGUE, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences" and "IOCB BOSTON, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences, Branch Boston USA" will be available only on request and after consultation with the Communications Department due to the limited use. These variants are only suitable for brand communication on narrow, tall formats, e.g. totems, roll-ups, information panels or letterhead.
• Sometimes a stand-alone hexagonal symbol may also be useful as a graphic supplement. However, this symbol does not replace the official logo of the Institute.
