Czech PhD students or recent postdocs are eligible to apply for the Czech Brains Doctorandus Prize for Natural Sciences with their dissertation Deadline: 11 July 2025.
International and cross-sector exchanges of junior&senior researchers, doctoral students and staff (up to 12 months) involved in research and innovation activities. Consortium project that allows you to develop contacts in your field, familiarize yourself with the environment outside the academic sphere, gain knowledge from other fields and other skills. Charles University is calling all scientists for FameLab 2025 – Talking Science.
FameLab is an international science communication competition where contestants have 3 minutes to present a scientific subject of their choice. The only props allowed are ones that they can carry onto and from the stage themselves.
To enter, send a video of your performance to famelab@cuni.cz by 30 June 2025 to enter the preliminary round.

The Czech Academy of Sciences has opened a call for submission of Mobility Plus Projects 2026. Joint projects can be submitted with partners from China, Japan, Korea, Germany, Romania, Slovenia and Taiwan.

IOCB's HPC Core Facility offers hands-on training in molecular modeling, protein structure prediction, image analysis, Python, Linux, and more! Courses are beginner-friendly and open to all staff. Don’t be shy to join—even if you just want to refresh your knowledge.
In the by-election of the Ethical Proxy on 6-10 February 2025, 273 employees voted, 3 votes were invalid. Lenka Žáková received the highest number of votes (110) and will therefore be appointed the second Ethical Proxy by the IOCB Director. Thanks to all the nominees for their interest in taking on the role of Ethical Proxy and all the staff who voted in the election.
