The mission of IOCB Prague is to perform excellent, fundamental, and curiosity-driven research. Such research may result in applications that are beneficial to society, therefore, it is the responsibility of IOCB to help scientists convert their discoveries into inventions, and then to subsequently apply them in a practical way. To promote these efforts, IOCB has established the technology transfer company IOCB Tech s.r.o.

IOCB TECH offers all IOCB scientists support in following areas:

• Analysis of commercial and market potential of ideas
• Determination of optimal means of commercialization
• Protection of intellectual property
• Project management for translational research
• Identification of the right CROs for experiments
• Development within SWAT teams
• Development of projects at the PharmTheon translational center
• Legal support
• Tech transfer seminars and patent training
• Interaction with license partners
• Support in building spin-off companies
• Interaction with investors
