The Analytical Laboratory, formerly named Central Analytical Laboratory or Laboratory of Organic Elemental Analysis, has been part of the IOCB since its foundation in early fifties of the 20th century. The workplace has undergone a gradual development of the methodologies used and the development of instrumentation to allow, as far as possible, a complete elemental analysis of the minimum amount (mg units) of various sample types.
