Development

We offer development of scientific and laboratory instruments and accessories, based on your scientific needs in a wide range. See examples on our webpages.

The best course of action is to contact someone in our group and discuss the idea (if you don't know anyone, contact the leader Ondřej Pačes - ondrej.paces@uoch.cas.cz). Later, it is necessary to create a “Production Request” Albina – see How to submit a “Production Request”.

Small scale projects go from IOCB budget (see below), larger ones require your funding (aprox price is 400 CZK/hour).

Repairs

We can provide repairs of common instruments whose commercial repair is either unavailable, too lengthy or too costly. Usual small repairs consist of hot plates, rotary evaporators, vacuum pumps, valves or electrophoresis cables and connectors. As long as they are below 500 CZK in materials and 15 hours of work, the service is free for you.

We are also capable of repairs for larger, more complex equipment – eg. NMR autosampler, NMR Cryo probe, HPLC, MS etc.

We pick-up the goods usually twice a week if movable, so you can leave the instruments at IOCB Storage room (office B.01.03) with a note (from who, for whom, what's wrong etc.).

Manufacturing

Our successful products are manufactured in-house on an order-specific basis. These include:

• Heatblocks for flasks and vials
• Ferrules and fittings for fluid management
• E-cooler - electric water free reflux condenser based on Peltier heat pump
• UV monitor for liquid chromatography
• Custom laboratory glass
• Fraction collector
