Open Access Instruments
GC/MS mass spectrometer is available after training for the IOCB staff and students to perform their own measurements. Please note that this instrument is also used for routine service analyses by the staff of the research-service team MS.
Agilent 5975B MSD coupled to GC
The instrument is located in the laboratory A.2.84 (building A, 2nd floor). After proper training, you set the sequence of the analysis during working hours. The instrument is equipped with the polar capillary column and EI-MS. The instrument configuration is suitable for the analysis of volatile and semivolatile organic molecules. There is a set of predefined methods which can be used for the most common analyses of volatile and semivolatile compounds. A mass spectral library is available for the identification of unknown compounds.
