What is the Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence?

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program enables French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters or Ph.D. programs. For more details see Eiffel 2024 summary  .

Who can apply for the Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence?

Applicants up to 27 years old can apply for the scholarship at master’s level, and applicants up to 32 years can apply for the scholarship at Ph.D. level. Only non-French citizens can apply. Only French higher education institutions/French Universities may apply.

Why apply for the Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence?

  • You can spend 1 – 3 years in France as a master student or 6 – 36 months as a Ph.D. student
  • You can get a degree from a prestigious French higher education institution / You can spend 6 – 36 months of your Ph.D. program at a prestigious French higher education institution
  • If succesful, you will obtain a monthly allowance for your living costs + travel and housing reimbursement
  • You can improve your French language level (additional one month of stay for master student if requested in application)
  • You can take part in various cultural activities offered by Campus France

How to apply for the Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence?

  1. Find and read programme guidelines:
  2. Contact any French higher education institution that provides M.Sc./Ph.D. courses in accordance to your expertise field. Applicants are advised to inquire first about the eligibility of French Universities within the Eiffel Program of Excellence (as early as possible). The list of open M.Sc. or Ph.D. positions - theses topics within the French universities can be found here.
    • Contact either your chosen supervisor or the International Relations department of your chosen University.
  3. If accepted by the French higher education institutions/French University, request the application form and prepare your application in cooperation with them.
  4. The French higher education institutions/French University will submit the jointly prepared application on your behalf. Applications submitted directly by students or by foreign educational institutions will be rejected.

Campus France will announce the final list of selected students in first week of Apr 2025.
