What is the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship?
The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship (IPF) supports the best and brightest minds in their postdoctoral research. Azrieli IPF provides two-years funding for eligible international applicants to conduct research in any academic discipline at one of the eight eligible institutions in Israel. Who can apply for the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowships?
- Candidates who have officially been awarded their Ph.D. degrees (signified by the date on their diploma) no earlier than three years before application. Candidates currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program may apply as long as they complete their dissertation defence successfully no later than June of the folowing year.
- Candidates must have secured an academic sponsor and will perform their postdoctoral research at one of the following Israeli institutions: Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Reichman University, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Tel Aviv University, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, University of Haifa and Weizmann Institute of Science.
- In STEM fields, the academic sponsor will finance 25 percent of the stipend, totalling ILS 84 000 for two years.

How to apply for the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship?
- Find and read programme guidelines:
- Establish your account via Azrieli website.
- Find an outstanding supervisor at one of the eight eligible Israeli research institution, negotiate your research project and the institutional and financial support with the host institution and ask them to fill in the Letter of interest which they will be asked for later.
- Contact two referees who are in a position to comment on your academic or professional qualifications and previous work. The referees can be different to the ones in your CV. Ask them for references and recommendation which they will be ask for later.

- Personal Information;
- Academic Credentials: Ph.D. abstract, transcript, diploma, documentation of completion awards, scholarships, previous appointments and positions;
- List of Publications;
- Writing Sample: An example of a scholarly work (published research, journal article, book chapter, etc.) that best demonstrates research accomplishments;
- Participation in conferences;
- CV;
- Personal Essays: 650-word personal essay and two 150-word essays on your role in society;
- Postdoctoral Research Proposal: Starting date of fellowship and host details, 250-word summary, 1500-word research proposal;
- Academic Sponsor's Recommendation: You will be asked to invite your academic sponsor to submit a detailed letter of interest;
- Referee Recommendations: Supply two contacts that will provide a letter of recommendation.
- Submit your online application before Nov 18. The nearest deadline is on Mon Nov 18 2024.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by March 2025.
The earliest possible term to begin the Fellowship is September 2025.
