What is the MIT- Czech Republic IOCB Tech Foundation Seed Fund?
The aim of the MIT–zech Republic IOCB Tech Foundation Seed Fund (MIT–CZ Seed Fund) is to promote and support early-stage collaborations between researchers at MIT & in the Czech Republic, to lead to long-term relationships and joint research projects. Through an annual call for proposals, the fund promotes the exchange between faculty and students at MIT and at member research institutions of the Czech Academy of Sciences and all universities in the Czech Republic.). Who can apply for the MIT-CZ Seed Fund?
Senior researchers, junior researchers. MIT applicant must have Principal Investigator/ PI status (usually post-doc and above). Typically research teams include faculty/researchers & post-docs, and often graduate and even undergraduate students.

How to apply for the MIT-CZ Seed Fund?
- Find and read programme guidelines:
- View a recording of the webinar
- Contact your US colleague and discuss details of your collaboration and a project proposal.
- Create a new proposal on the GSF Application Portal. The proposal can be started by either the MIT applicant or the international collaborator.

Jointly prepare and fill in all part of the proposal
:
- administrative details
- a project field and subfield (up to 2)
- a brief abstract (max. 250 words)
- description of collaboration (max. 250 words)
- description of the proposed project (max. 1,500 words)
- details of exchanges and activities planned, including student participation (max. 250 words)
- additional activities, incl. funding max. 250 words)
- project sustainability (max. 250 words)
- requested budget
- For IOCB approval with project submission, please complete the form in the electronic project proposal approval system.
- Finalize your project proposal.
- Submit you/your partner online application before Tue 10 Dec 2024 11:59 PM (EST) (IOCB deadline: Thu 05 Dec 2024)
Evaluation results will be announced by Apr 2025.
Project implementation can start from June 2025.
