NAZV Programme ZEMĚ II
What is the NAZV ZEMĚ II?
NAZV ZEMĚ (provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic) is a programme for financing projects in applied research focused on agriculture, food, water management and forestry, with expected results of high innovation potential, leading to improvement in the stability, volume and quality of production, applicable in new products, technologies and production processes. Who can apply for the NAZV ZEMĚ II?
Any legal entity, such as a research organization, legal or natural person, organizational unit of the state, can apply for the project. The main applicant (institution) must be a research organization. In Sub-programme I, at least one enterprise must be part of the proposal (in the role of another participant). Sub-programme II, intended for the purposes of filling the urgent research needs of the Ministry of Agriculture is available for research organizations only.
Why apply for the NAZV ZEMĚ II?
It is a unique opportunity to get financial support for the implementation of the research in agriculture, food, water management and forestry /related fields. Supporting cooperation of research organizations and enterprises, programme is focused on bringing results of research in to use.
When to apply for the NAZV ZEMĚ II?
The nearest Call is open from 7 Jun 2023 to 26 Jul 2023 (IOCB internal deadline 19 Jul 2023).

How to apply for the NAZV ZEMĚ II
- Mind the language: Documentation is available only in Czech and the proposal must be delivered in Czech.
- Find and read programme guidelines:
- If you want to apply to sub-programme I, find an enterprise interested in application of your research results and set up a collaboration.
- If you want to apply to sub-programme II, identify the specific
research need (in Czech only)
of the Ministry you can contribute to.
- Register in the ISTA system and jointly prepare the project proposal with your coapplicants.
- For IOCB official agreement with grant submission, it is necessary to complete the IOCB project request form
.
- Inform the Project Office of your intention to apply.
- Complete all parts of your project proposal (use the project proposal template in the ISTA application):
- Project identification & project applicants’ (institutions) identification
- Project introduction (relevance to the program and subprogram aims, aims, timeline of activities, management of the project, applicability of the results risk analysis)
- Research team description
- Results and outputs (according to the classification of the IS VaVaI/RIV database)
- Financial plan
- Opponents to be excluded
- Mandatory annexes
- Special licences (GMO, animal testing) – if applicable
- 2Any other attachments that supports project proposal (drawings, diagrams, pictures, CVs of the team members etc.)
- Submit your project via ISTA system before 13 Jul 2022 23:59:59 CET.
- On your behalf, the Project office will submit a sworn statement for IOCB before 26 Jul 2023 23:59:59 CEST. Your co-applicants (their institution) also need to submit this via their own databox.
- After submission of the project, the Project Office will submit the generated confirmation of submission via data box before 26 Jul 2023 23:59:59 CET.
Final evaluation results will be announced by 17 Jan 2024 at the latest.
The project implementation will start between 1 Mar 2024 and 31 May 2024.
