What is the CAS PPLZ programme?
CAS Programme to support prospective human resources – postdocs (PPLZ) aims to support talented early career researchers who are prospective for the development of the existing or new scientific disciplines at CAS institutes. For more details see CAS PPLZ 2025 summary 1 / CAS PPLZ 2025 Summary 2
Who can to apply for the CAS PPLZ?
Postdoc with research experience of up to 2 years since finishing their Ph.D. study or up to 4 years if due to a long-term foreign research visit. Career breaks are excluded from these limits.
Why to apply for the CAS PPLZ?
- It is a good opportunity to attract a talented postdoc to your laboratory.
- It covers a postdoc salary for a period of 12–24 months.
- o The financial support includes a postdoc salary with up to 720 000 CZK per year (e.g 44 500 CZK contribution toward your month’s gross salary).
When to apply for the CAS PPLZ?
There are two regular deadlines a year - Spring and Autum cut-off.
The nearest CAS PPLZ deadlines are:
- 30 Apr midnight annually
- 30 Sep midnight annually
Due to the CAS condition - approval of the application by the IOCB Board – the internal deadlines are:
